European nations, the U.S , and the Middle East all need oil to function. The relationship that the U.S and the European nations has is much more dependant. We need the oil, but the middle east also depends on us for financial support. We all need each other fo the Industry to thrive, unfortunately some groups would like to abuse this dependancy to increase prices. So we have to have regulations.
